Valdemar Neto

Valdemar Neto holds a master’s degree (2012-2014) and Ph.D. (2014-2018) in Economics from EPGE Brazilian School of Economics and Finance (FGV EPGE), with an undergraduate degree in Economics from the Federal University of Ceará. He is currently a Professor at FGV EPGE and coordinates the Center for Empirical Studies in Economics, also at FGV. During his Ph.D., he was a Visiting Student Research Collaborator for one year (2016/2017) at Princeton University. After the Ph.D., he worked for two years (2018-2020) as a Senior Research Professional at the University of Chicago, Booth School of Business. His research mainly focuses on the intersections of Labor Economics, Applied Microeconomics, Economic Development, Political Economy, and Public Policy.
